Help create a sound-based artwork for this year's International Women's Day Celebration
Free, creative and inspiring workshop for young women
Mon 13 Feb, 11am - 3.30pm at Brighton Museum and Art Gallery
Young women aged 13-19 (up to 24 years with additional needs)
Young women will take part in drama activities, explore issues affecting them as young women, visit The Fashion and Style Gallery, look at museum objects and help create a sound-based artwork based on their experiences and views.
The sound-based artwork, plus pop-up signs based on the young people’s discussions, will be installed at Brighton Museum on Saturday 4 March as part of their International Women’s Day Celebrations. Royal Pavilion & Museums, The Dome and Brighton Women’s Centre are planning a varied programme of events for International Women’s Day that will be showcased on and around this date. The participants will also be encouraged to visit the museum on this day to see and hear their work.
Lunch will be provided and the workshop is free.
