OFC #BeCollective Fundraisers Networking Event
We are pleased to announce the details of the forthcoming Our Future City #BeCollective Fundraisers Networking event that aims to boost fundraising for creative children & young people projects in Brighton & Hove.

The afternoon is supported by Arts Fundraising & Philanthropy and Brighton & Hove City Council and will consist of three main themes:
Embracing technology and new ideas in fundraising
Ethical fundraising and regulations
Establishing a diversity of donors and fundraisers
Sessions and speakers:
1. What to Focus on in Digital Fundraising presented by Howard Lake
Howard Lake is a digital fundraising entrepreneur. He has published UK Fundraising (fundraising.co.uk) since 1994, daily sharing news, ideas and resources for fundraisers. He has trained thousands of fundraisers in digital fundraising.
A fundraiser since 1988 (Oxfam GB, Afghanaid and Amnesty International), he wrote the world's first book on digital fundraising (1996), co-founded BarcampNonprofits and founded Fundraising Camp. He is chair of the judging panel for the National Fundraising Awards, and is a trainer for the Institute of Fundraising's Academy.
2. A Discussion About Diversity - presented by David Sheppeard from The Marlborough, Brighton
David Sheppeard leads a not-for-profit community interest company called Marlborough Productions.

3. Creating an Ethical Fundraising Policy presented by David Burgess, Apollo Fundraising
David Burgess is an experienced fundraiser specialising in securing support for the arts and culture sector. Prior to setting up Apollo Fundraising, he helped to raise philanthropic support for a range of arts organisations, including Manchester Camerata, Royal Exchange Theatre, Glyndebourneand English Touring Opera. During this time David secured 5-and 6- figure gifts from Trusts for revenue appeals and capital projects. He also increased Individual and Legacy giving while at English Touring Opera.
Refreshments will be provided.
Tickets are free but booking is essential. Please note that this event is for fundraisers.
