Apply for Tangled Feet's year long mentoring scheme
At Tangled Feet they know what it’s like to start a theatre company from scratch. The challenges there are to overcome, the difficulties in sustaining momentum and the competition for opportunities and funding. Over the last four years Tangled Feet have supported nine emerging theatre ensembles to structure themselves, support their development and apply for funding alongside further support for the intricacies of collaborative working.
With the support of the Andrew Lloyd Webber Foundation, Tangled Feet are very happy to be able to offer a year long mentoring programme for four emerging theatre ensembles. This is the fourth year of running this programme which grew out of the desire to support emerging ensembles in their formative years. This is not only an opportunity to work with Tangled Feet but also work alongside three other fellow emerging theatre companies.
The programme will consist of four weekend workshops spread out over the year as well as on going mentoring and will take place in London and Luton.
The mentoring scheme will cover:
- Group dynamics and staying focused
- Flexible planning and structures
- Pitching, selling and touring your work
- Working with young people
- Fundraising and business planning
- Marketing and communications
- Shared practice and games
It will also provide time and space for you to build and plan together as a company with support and guidance from the core Tangled Feet team.
Alongside the weekend intensive workshops you will have a dedicated mentor from within the Tangled Feet ensemble to talk to throughout the year.
